Junk it Removal FAQs

What do you do with the junk that you remove?

We sort the items and determine the best way to dispose of them. Items that can be recycled will be taken to the appropriate, local recycling center. Items which can be used or refurbished by local charities are donated, and the remaining items will be taken to the nearest landfill and disposed of properly.

What do you remove and haul off?

The item(s) must fit into the back of our Junk it Removal truck and the item(s) must be something that our two-man Junk it Removal crew can lift and carry. The back of our truck is 10 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 5 feet high. Here is a list of the most common items that we remove. *Air conditioning units and refrigerators must have the refrigerant removed by a licensed refrigeration technician and "red tagged."  Junk it Removal can perform this service for an additional charge.

Are there items that you cannot remove?

Yes.  All items must fit into the back of our Junk it Removal truck. The back of our truck is 10 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 5 feet high. Each item must also be something that our two-man crew can lift and carry. Here is a list of the most common items that we cannot remove. If you have any questions about whether or not we can remove an item for you, please contact us.

How do you price your Junk it Removal services?

Our price is based primarily on the volume of junk you have and how it fits into our Junk it Removal truck. Our minimum charge is for one-eighth of the truck or less. Then the price increases in one-twelfth increments up to a full load. We may also factor in your location and the distance to your property. Why is there a minimum charge?

Our charge includes our transportation, labor, and disposal costs. Landfills charge us just like they would charge you. Our cost to drive to your property is the same whether we remove one item or a whole truckload. Therefore, our minimum charge is based on your junk filling up one-eighth of our Junk it Removal truck. Our Junk it Removal Calculator will provide you with an estimate and help you visualize how your junk will fit into our truck.

Will you move things for me from one location to another?

No. We are not licensed or insured for the purposes of transporting personal property in a safe and secure manner. We remove junk — things that you don’t want to keep.

What hours are you available to remove my junk?

Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm and on Saturdays by appointment. In some cases, our truck may be available for same-day or next-day pickup. Contact us for an appointment.

My schedule is crazy and no one is home during your normal hours. What can I do?

We routinely make appointments on Saturdays and, if necessary, we will consider making an appointment after 5:00 as long as it is still daylight.

Do I have to wait around all day for your truck to show up?

Absolutely not!  We know that your time is valuable. We will set an appointment time with you and make sure that our Junk it Removal crew shows up when they are expected. If unforeseen circumstances make arriving more than 15 minutes from when your appointment is scheduled, you will be notified as early as possible.

Do you carry insurance?

Our vehicles and people are all properly insured for commercial liability and worker’s compensation. We have been in business since 2000 and safety has always been one of our top priorities.

Can I trust your crews who come to my home or business?

We understand your concerns. First, you will know it is us when you see the bright silver and red Junk it Removal truck pull up. Our Junk it Removal crews are trained to be courteous, professional, and on-time. They wear company uniforms and are covered by company insurance while they are working. One of the keys to our success is our lengthy employee tenure which equates to increased productivity and greater customer satisfaction.

We accept cash, check, credit and debit cards. Businesses who desire to use our services on a regular basis may also apply to establish a 30 day account.
